Separate the campaign from cleanup
Finishing the final story mission does not finish Vice City. Full completion also needs the gang and phone jobs, asset objectives, vehicle activities and the map challenges. Use the game's Stats screen to identify missing categories. Keep a clean save for achievement progress and save regularly after successful activities.
- Complete the main, gang, assassination and asset mission groups.
- Finish the vehicle jobs, off-road and RC events, street races, stadium events and four Chopper Checkpoints.
- Complete all four Sunshine Autos lists and score at least 45 at the rifle range.
Count collectibles carefully
The cleanup targets include 100 hidden packages, 36 unique jumps, 35 rampages, all 15 store robberies and all seven purchasable safehouses. Tick a collectible only after the game registers it. A website checklist counts your marked tasks, not the game's internal percentage. Full completion raises maximum health and armor to 200 and unlocks additional rewards, including the Frankie outfit.
