Choose an input your edition supports
On PC, open the cheat console, enter the PC word and confirm. On PlayStation and Xbox, enter the controller sequence during play. Modern releases also accept the listed numbers through the in-game phone’s dial pad. The original PS3 and Xbox 360 releases do not support phone-cheat entry.
Keep a separate manual save
Rockstar permits saving while cheats are active, but achievements are temporarily disabled. Entering a code again often switches its effect off, yet this is not a universal reset. Reload a clean save or restart the game before returning to achievement work.
When a correct code is refused
A mission, interior, restricted area or lack of spawn space can block a code. Move into free roam and use open ground for vehicles rather than repeatedly entering the same sequence in a narrow alley. Story codes do not work in GTA Online. Dodo, Duke O’Death and Kraken spawn codes also require their Story unlocks first.
