Choose the right save first
Rockstar’s PC migration path moves a Story Mode save from GTA V Legacy to GTA V Enhanced on PC. It is not a PC-to-console transfer. Confirm the Rockstar account and linked PC account, and retain a separate local backup before proceeding.
Use the supported menu path
- In Legacy, open the pause menu, choose Game, then Upload Save Game and select the intended save.
- Wait for the upload confirmation before launching Enhanced.
- In Enhanced, use the Story landing-page prompt or Game, then Download Save Game in the pause menu.
- Read the confirmation carefully before downloading; once the Enhanced download succeeds, the account cannot perform further Story Mode migrations.
A transfer is not continuous sync
A later session played in Legacy will not update the migrated Enhanced save. Rockstar retains an uploaded save for a limited period; the current support article specifies 90 days. Check the official article if an upload has expired or the account is ineligible. GTA Online profile migration is a separate process.
