Component procedure
- 01
Unplug and cool the console. Remove the vent grille and the screws securing the fan shroud; map each screw to its original hole.

Lift the shroud. Peel back the wire cover carefully and unplug the fan by its connector body, supporting the socket.
- 03
Lift out the fan. Clean with the blades held still or fit a unit matched to the console revision and connector.
- 04
Route the lead as before, reconnect it and restore the wire cover, shroud, grille and panels.
A seized connector or lifting motherboard socket needs repair, not more pulling force.
After full reassembly, confirm airflow and normal fan operation without rubbing or scraping.
Restore all covers, shielding and cable routing before powered tests. Keep each screw in its original position. If fit or resistance changes, reopen and inspect rather than tightening harder.
