Turn off, unplug and open the rear shell. Do not continue with a swollen or leaking pack.

Grip the battery connector housing and separate it from its socket; never pull the wires.

Lift the pack from its cradle. Match chemistry, voltage, polarity, connector and physical size to the original label.

Seat the compatible pack, reconnect and close the controller without pinching its lead.
A swollen, hot, leaking or damaged battery needs safe handling by a battery-repair professional.
Check charging and unplugged operation after reassembly.
Restore all covers, shielding and cable routing before powered tests. Keep each screw in its original position. If fit or resistance changes, reopen and inspect rather than tightening harder.
