Component procedure

Check mute status and the console input-device setting first.

Disconnect the battery. Release the appropriate flex using its reinforced end; compare upper and lower microphone positions with the V1 reference.

For the upper assembly, support the raised board and frame while feeding the flex out of the shell.

Seat the matching assembly and route its flex without folds, then reassemble.
Do not pull a flex through a slot while its tab is caught.
Confirm voice capture and mute-button behaviour in the console microphone test.
Restore all covers, shielding and cable routing before powered tests. Keep each screw in its original position. If fit or resistance changes, reopen and inspect rather than tightening harder.
