Component procedure
- 01
Disconnect the battery. Remove its cradle and release the necessary trigger, microphone and touchpad ribbons following the V1 guide.
- 02
Unclip and raise the board enough to clear the sticks. Leave the soldered motor leads supported and slack.
- 03
Lift each cap vertically from its shaft and seat the matching replacement.
- 04
Guide the sticks through the shell, restore the ribbons and reassemble.
Do not pull the board completely away while the motor wires remain attached.
Full stick travel is unobstructed and both L3/R3 clicks work.
Restore all covers, shielding and cable routing before powered tests. Keep each screw in its original position. If fit or resistance changes, reopen and inspect rather than tightening harder.
