Reference: FCC ID AK8CFIZCT1 and motherboard BDM-010. Read the rear label; CFI-ZCT1W alone does not identify the internal revision.
BDM-020 and later controllers, and DualSense Edge, use different layouts. A removable rubber stick cap is not the soldered joystick module.
Service the D-pad, face buttons and their conductive silicone pads.

Access first
Complete these access guides before the component-specific notes below.
Component procedure
- 01
Isolate the battery, free the relevant ribbons and support the raised board and midframe.
- 02
Photograph the button positions. Remove the silicone pads; retain the loose buttons in a tray.
- 03
Clean dry debris from the plastic seating surfaces or replace the damaged matching cap or membrane. Do not abrade the conductive contacts.
- 04
Restore every keyed button and pad, then the frame, ribbons and battery.
A damaged circuit contact is a separate electrical repair.
Every button returns freely and registers without repeated or missing inputs.
Restore all covers, shielding and cable routing before powered tests. Keep each screw in its original position. If fit or resistance changes, reopen and inspect rather than tightening harder.
